'Developing Minds' summer art class works on emotions, social skills

Pigment School of Arts in Dallas has teamed up with Kids Can! to offer a class for developing minds to express themselves and their emotions through the arts.

The 'Developing Minds' class, Aug. 16-20, is for children who have learning differences, sensory integration dysfunction, autism and ADD/ADHD.

The unique class allows children to express emotion through art and work on social skills with visual arts.

Through art, the children will learn to control impulses, build self-esteem, increase tolerance and enhance communication.

The class is from 12:30 - 2 p.m. and costs $185. Call to register by phone at 214-352-ARTS.
