A violent thug, without a shred of decency, robbed a man at gunpoint on Monday night in Detroit in a restaurant parking lot, shot the man in the leg and slammed the victim's nine-week-old puppy to the ground reported wxyz.com.

Sean Harris was in a restaurant on the corner of Tireman and Livernois about 2:00 a.m. on Monday night picking up his take-out order in a local restaurant, when a man wearing sunglasses and a purple hat walked in. According to various surveillance cameras in the area, the thug wearing the hat and shades had been scoping out the area appearing to be looking for someone to rob.

Unfortunately, Harris became the victim, as the thug demanded Harris' money and car keys. When Harris willingly turned over his cash to the monster, but would not turn over his keys, the assailant shot Harris in the leg and grabbed the puppy from his car. The surveillance video shows one of the thugs lift the puppy up, and then slam the defenseless little dog onto the parking lot.

Tragically, the puppy died as a result of his injuries. Get well soon Mr. Harris.

The Michigan Humane Society is offering a $2,500 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who committed such an egregious act of animal cruelty.

Please call the Detroit Police at 313.596.1200 or the Michigan Humane Society at 248.283.1000. All calls and information will be held confidential.
