As powerful as each beer festival throughout the great State of Michigan has been this year, most will pale in comparison to the 2010 Great American Beer Festival, also known as GABF, hosted by the Brewers Association and American Homebrewers Association at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. Over 49,000 people will make the pilgrimage to Denver where over 2,000 different beers will be slung from the taphandles of over 460 breweries across the nation. Representatives from large-scale commercial breweries and small micorbreweries alike will aggregate to the center of the brewing nation to market their wares to the masses.

As a state known for its craft beers, Michigan will be well-represented by a host of great breweries, many of which hailing from the Greater Detroit area. If you haven't made plans to trek half way across the nation to partake in the annual three-day beer bash, you can celebrate our regioinal beer crafters by taking a local tour of the same Southeast Michigan breweries you'd see in Denver.
