Detroit police arrest one for triple homicide

The DPD has one in custody for the shooting deaths of three people in a west side home Wednesday night. Police spokeswoman Sgt Eren Stephens said no further information would be released at this time.

Neighbors say a mother and daughter had been squatting in the house.

A witness said she had been at the home on Coyle Street Wednesday, smoking weed and watching videos, but left at about 8:00 p.m.

Sometime later neighbors heard gunshots. They called police, but no one showed up.

At about 9:00 a.m. Thursday a friend went into the home and found three dead bodies, two women and one man.

Relatives have identified the man as Curtis Clements, 24.

There were two young girls in the house, ages 1 and 5. The dead women were their mothers. Neither was harmed.

Clements’ relatives believe there was an altercation between the shooter and one of the women.
The shooter left, vowing to return and kill them.
