The Pistons are on a three game losing streak, including two close losses at home to the Lakers and Nets. Tonight, they face the Spurs, another likely loss. Detroit only has three games this week, because next weekend is All-Star Weekend. You'll be able to see Andre Drummond and Brandon Knight, but not the Pistons as a team. However, here's three more chances to see them in the near future.
On Saturday, the Pistons have to travel to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks. The Bucks look like they will be a playoff team, while Detroit does not, and the Pistons have to travel and then play on the second night of a back-to-back. That likely will result in a loss, probably resulting in five of them in a row.
Fortunately, things looks brighter after that. On Monday, Detroit gets to host New Orleans. A healthy Hornets team is kind of decent, but they are still one of the worst teams in the West. However, the West is tougher than the East. This is actually a pretty close matchup on paper, but at home I think Detroit wins. Finally, on Wednesday the Pistons host Washington. The Wizards were awful early, but the key word is "were" because since John Wall has returned they have been much better. Funny how getting your far and away best player can help. Again, this is probably a tossup, but I'll take Detroit at home.
The Pistons might not be able to win two games next week, but at the very least I like their odds of finally getting another win. Hopefully they can get a couple wins heading into the All-Star break.
