One day after catching six passes for 116 yards in a victory over Washington, the Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson broke his arm in two places. The unfortunate car accident happened after a gathering for Monday Night Football. According to CBS Sports, the police stated that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
As a number two receiver, Burleson was a great complement to Calvin Johnson. Now they are going to need former Oklahoma star Ryan Broyles to step into the forefront.
While Nate Burleson heals from the broken arm, there is a receiver anticipating a chance to get back in the NFL. It shouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Detroit to bring in Terrell Owens. There's no question that Owens to Detroit would be a bold move, but it could definitely pay off if they need another complementary receiver. Owens has no problem going over the middle, and he'll do just about anything to get back into the league.
