Scott Ziegler: Detroit-area firefighter compiles terrifying helmet-cam footage
Check out Scott Ziegler 's footage of a year in the life of a Detroit-area firefighter. The video you see here is a compilation of Ziegler's work over the course of 2012 in Highland Park, Michigan.
Suddenly most helmet-cam footage looks a bit... less-than. Ziegler uses Eminem's "Till I collapse" for the soundtrack. Many of the houses seen in the video are vacant or abandoned.
Yes, the Highland Park Fire Department's firefighters will risk their lives to save abandoned homes. This is the direct opposite of departments such as that in South Fulton, Tennessee, which will stand by and watch your home burn to the ground if you haven't paid up.
