Detroit art celebration to be funded by The Kresge Foundation

Get ready for Art X Detroit: Kresge Arts Experience, yet another exciting thing coming out of Kresge Arts in Detroit; a Kresge Foundation funded effort to revitalize the city of Detroit through creativity. During this celebration, one will be able to join in festivities designed to entertain any sort of artist, creative, or entertainment seeker.

From April 10-14, Art X Detroit will offer you the very best in dance, art, theater, readings, music, discussions, workshops and more. All offerings will be presented by the talented 2011-2012 Kresge Eminent Artists and Artist Fellows. There will be 36 winners of the Kresge Artist Fellowships showcased, as well as 2 Eminent Artists, Bill Harris and Naomi Long Madgett.

Everything will be hosted in Detroit's Cultural Center, Midtown. The notable venues include Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD), College for Creative Studies (CCS), and The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). All events will be free to the public!
