Detroit 6th grader brings 20K to school

A 12-year-old girl has stunned school and police officials when she began handing out large sums of money to her friends. According to Yahoo News, the student attends the 6th Grade Academy of the Detroit School District.

After further investigation, it was found that the student, who remains unnamed, recieved the 20 thousand dollars from a child who lives across the street. The neighbor has reclamined the funds but also remains unnamed by police.

Taylor Mary Sclabassi, Chief of police stated, "The school district called us and said a 12-year-old student had a backpack full of money. The principal became aware of it when she heard the student was giving money away to friends. They brought in the student, secured the backpack and retrieved the money she had given away. This is a real first for me."
