Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren are now officially divorced. Here are the details on the divorce.
Both Tiger and Elin, along with their respective lawyers were present at the hearing, which lasted less than 10 minutes.
When asked why they chose to file in Panama City, Tiger’s attorney, Thomas J. Sasser, who specializes in enforcing international child custody agreements, said filing in Panama City, Florida was a joint decision by the attorneys involved.
Terms of the divorce have not been disclosed, other than that Tiger and Elin will "share parenting" of their two children.
Financial Details of Tiger and Elin’s Divorce Remain Undisclosed
According to reports, Elin and Tiger signed a marital settlement agreement on July 3 and July 4. But financial details of the final divorce settlement remain undisclosed, thus far.
Unless there are further leaks from an “inside source” the actual details of the divorce will remain a tightly guarded secret.
The only information we have about the financial aspects of the final divorce settlement is what has been leaked to the press over the past couple of months.

A Jointly Issued Statement from Tiger and Elin
In a jointly issued statement, Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren had this to say:
"We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future
"While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us,"
"The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern."

According to Radar Online, both Tiger and Elin were required to enroll in a 4-hour parent education and family stabilization course which is a mandatory court requirement for any parent involved in a divorce.
Tiger completed his course July 10th, while Elin did not complete hers until August 16th.

Tiger Woods committed the ultimate betrayal, deception and humiliation against Elin Nordegren and their children. A wife does not get over such ordeal in a short period of time. I think that Elin Nordegren is a woman with class, dignity and self respect and she would have never stay with a man like Tiger Woods, whom she may not respect and trust anymore. Tiger Woods seems to be a troubled man with serious character and emotional issues that appears to be long standing. Elin seems to know that the emotional demands of staying married to Tiger Woods would have been very high and not worth it. Elin has a big responsibility to herself and her two small children. I commend Elin for her wise decision, for being a caring and loving mother and for her great courage, dignity and class during this horrid time in her life. I wish them all the best!!!
