An audio tape of the the murder plot to kill Justin Bieber has been released, TMZ reported Tuesday.
In December it was reported that Justin Bieber was the target of a foiled murder plot, in which the assassin would cut off his manhood, and now the audio details have been released to the public.
Police say convicted criminal Dana Martin, who is currently serving two life sentences for the rape and murder of a 15-year-old girl in Vermont in 2000, devised a plot to kill Bieber at his sold-out Madison Square Garden show in November. Martin had recruited former fellow inmate Mark Staake, who in turn recruited his nephew Tanner Ruane, to strangle Bieber and his bodyguard and then castrate them.
In December, the New York Post reported that Martin told police he “had become infatuated” with the teen heartthrob and even has a large tattoo of Bieber on his leg.
“Did he go over the Bieber thing with you?” Martin asked Ruane in a taped phone conversation.
You can listen to the audio tape by playing the video to the left of this article.
“Nah. The way I like to work dude, I like to know as little as possible,” Ruane replied in the recording. “He’s gonna use one of the things you gave him, and then he’s gonna take care of it.”
Authorities at the correctional facility said “take care of it” is the same as murder. Martin also allegedly instructed the men to suffocate their victims with his signature paisley scarf.
“We went and bought the hedge clippers,” Ruane was heard saying on the audio recording. “You’re gonna give me 5 large ($5,000) for each one I get.”
Police said the men planned to use the clippers to castrate Bieber and his bodyguard in New York City.
“Tie it really tight, and that cuts off all the oxygen, and then tie it in the back again, really tight. That seals the deal,” Martin said in a taped phone conversation.
Luckily, before Staake and Ruane could travel from Vermont to New York to “seal the deal,” the two were arrested by border patrol agents after making a wrong turn into Canada.
