Destroying Texas Fest 9 in Houston - Saturday, May 17

The ninth edition of Destroying Texas Fest is coming up fast, and it's going to be one for the books. This homegrown metal extravaganza has a consistent record of showcasing some of underground's best and darkest, and this year will be no exception. Rarely-seen Los Angeles death metallers Sadistic Intent are the jewel of the event, though support from Blaspherian, Nodens, Morgengrau, Nethermost and Inverted Trifixion ensure that the concert will be memorable from start to finish.

Sadistic Intent's appearance is a state-wide exclusive, so that's reason enough to make the trek from Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, or parts in between. Yes, Houston can be a pain, but they continue to have the best metal scene in the entire state, bar none. There will also be the usual vendors with tons of metal wares on hand, and it's a safe bet that the relatively small digs of Mango's will be packed to capacity in short order. Houston will be hosting some other killer shows throughout the summer, so get your war-face on and kick things off with this hellish onslaught!
