DESTROID, the collaboration of Excision, Downlink and KJ Sawka, released yesterday their latest track "Blast-Off" featuring Rottun Recordings artist Ajapai. "Blast-Off" marks the fourth successive track from DESTROID. which has announced its intention to "bring forth the next stage of the dubstep movement." The track is available now on both Beatport and iTunes.
The idea for DESTROID was conceived in late 2009 by Canadian dubstep artist Excision and has been under development for the last three years. With the success of his sold-out X Tour which showcased the "X Vision" visual experience coupled with 100,000 watts of sound, Excision launched DESTROID in late 2012. Together with fellow Canadian and dubstep technician Downlink along with drummer KJ Sawka, DESTROID released its debut track "Raise Your Fist" in November 2012. "Raise Your Fist" is available as a free download on the group's website. It, along with follow-on tracks "Crusaders" and "Wasteland" as well as the new release "Blast-Off," will all be part of an upcoming DESTROID album, which is expected to be released in early 2013.
