Fergal Gara has provided some comments in regards to the future lineup of video games coming to the PS4. In an interview with Express on Dec. 25, the managing director of Playstation UK hinted that all major first-party studios from Sony Computer Entertainment are working on games for the next-generation system.
He went on to disclosed that several projects have not yet been officially announced, adding that these titles are coming from fantastic heritages. Fergal Gara is personally “looking forward to some great surprises and amazing experiences,” teasing that there will be a few “real gems.”
Among the examples he provided for the future lineup include “DriveClub,” “inFamous: Second Son” and “The Order: 1886.” The recently-announced “Uncharted” video game for the PS4 is also expected to be a “big” game coming from Naughty Dog.
Finally, Fergal Gara also talked a little big about two high-profile multiplatform video games, “Destiny” and “Watch Dogs.” He believed that both titles are going to define the next-generation, reiterating that the software products are coming with “substantial exclusive” contents on the PS4. You can find some screens of “Destiny” and “Watch Dogs” in the slideshow to the left of this article and his comments below:
Two titles which will define what next generation gaming will look in its mature phase will be Watch Dogs and Destiny. These are two games we have aligned with closely and will have substantial exclusive Playstation 4 content.
“Destiny” has an official release date on Sept. 9, 2014, while “Watch Dogs” is set to arrive sometime after the first quarter of next year.
