A Destiny's Child reunion at the Beyonce halftime show is the big talk of Super Bowl 2013. The trio reunited on stage to perform several of their well known hit songs, in addition to one of Beyonce's popular tracks.
A report from ABC News on Feb. 3 during the Super Bowl notes that Beyonce's performance "blew the lights out at the Superdome." They also reveal that Beyonce was dressed in a short leather Rubin Singer dress with gloves, and not much else. She performed several of her hits including "Crazy in Love" sans Jay-Z, "Baby Boi" sans Sean Paul, and "Till the End of Time."
Her former Destiny's Child group members, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, popped up from below the stage to join Beyonce for several more tracks. That was the big surprise of the halftime show, as it had previously been rumored that they wouldn't be present. There were there in real life, not as holograms, and performed "Bootylicious," "Independent Woman Part I" and then "Single Ladies."
Previously, Michelle Williams told Good Morning America she had "Fela!" rehearsals to do and therefore made it seem it wouldn't be possible for her to appear during the Super Bowl 2013 halftime show. However, that was clearly as much a smokescreen as the ones Beyonce used to start off her performance full of pyrotechnics, fire and electricity.
The final capping moment of Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show was a solo performance of her hit ballad "Halo." The entire Super Bowl 2013 halftime show and football game was shown locally on CBS affiliate station WDBJ 7 in Roanoke.
