‘Destiny,’ ‘Metal Gear Solid V’ and more most anticipated 2014 games nominated

The Official Playstation Blog has revealed a list of nominations for the 2013 Game of the Year Awards. According to a post on Dec. 20, users can vote on numerous categories including one for the most anticipated video game in 2014.

The two most notable titles that were hand-picked by the staff at Official Playstation Blog are “Destiny” and “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.” Both video games are coming out on the PS3, PS4 as well as other systems. You can check out some screenshots of the software products in the slideshow to the left of this article.

The other nominations include a few PS4 exclusive video games in “DriveClub,” “inFamous: Second Son” and “The Order: 1886.” Several independent titles were also listed. You can take a look at the list below:

  • Dark Souls II (PS3)
  • Destiny (PS3, PS4)
  • Driveclub (PS4)
  • inFAMOUS Second Son (PS4)
  • Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS3, PS4)
  • Octodad: Dadliest Catch (PS4)
  • The Elder Scrolls Online (PS4)
  • The Order: 1886 (PS4)
  • The Witness (PS4)
  • Transistor (PS4)

Fans can also write in a nomination if they anticipated a video game that weren’t on the list. The polls are expected to stay open until 6:00 p.m. PST on Dec. 22. The winners should be announced the following day.

The aforesaid “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” will be released by Konami Digital Entertainment in North America on March 21 while “Destiny” should be launched by Activision later next year on Sept. 9. The two multiplatform video games feature several exclusive contents for the PS3 and PS4 platforms.
