Pete Parsons has revealed some of the advantages of the PS4 and Xbox One in terms of development for the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Destiny.” In an interview with Games Industry International on Aug. 26, the chief operating officer at Bungie disclosed that the two next-generation systems bring more than just new hardware to the table.
Pete Parsons mentioned that video games for the PS4 and Xbox One will be “wonderful” graphically. However, he also believed that the hardware benefits is only the beginning for the next-generation systems, stating that the Playstation Network and Xbox Live service has allowed Bungie to create big online communities. You can take a look at his comments from the Games Industry International below:
I would argue that next-gen games are going to be wonderful in terms of visuals, but I believe that unlike prior console generations that have really been about the hardware, it's no longer just about the hardware. It's about these wonderful networks on both PlayStation and Xbox; they created these wonderful, vibrant, gigantic communities.
“Destiny” is slated for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms. Bungie previously stated that each version of the video game will include all the features even though the PS4 and Xbox One are significantly more powerful than the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The forthcoming video game has been described as a shared-world first-person shooter. The product is being developed by the aforesaid Bungie and will be published by Activision.
