Just as soon as some thought one of the first next-generation titles would be "Destiny," its publisher revealed that this game will not be seeing the light of a retailer anytime this year.
According to a report from VG24/7 on Monday, Activision stated during their financial reporting that their outlook for 2013 did not include "Destiny."
In relation to the game, the company went on to note that "there should be no speculation or expectation of a different result."
So gamers can now cross off "Destiny" as having any sort of potential for being a launch title for the PS4 or Xbox 720.
Recently, Bungie president Harold Ryan took the time to talk about this upcoming title, "Destiny."
Ryan talked about how the company wants to immediately bring players into the game's world when they play it for the first time.
"I would say that we have some good plans for that. But we’re not going through the detailed flow.
"Certainly one of the core design goals for this game, for what we call the new user experience – the first time you launch the game, whether that’s by disc or not.
"The first time you enter the universe on your platform of choice, we want to make that as a non-digital an experience as… to really bring you into the world is certainly the goal and what we’re going after.
"The exact flow of the game we’re not going through today," Ryan said.
