A leak from Bungie about the Destiny multiplayer beta was seemingly confirmed Tuesday as an Amazon listing for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 sci-fi fantasy shooter revealed details about when the beta will take place and how to get in.
"Pre-order 'Destiny' and receive access to the upcoming beta," the updated Amazon listing reads. "Beta will be available in early 2014 on the following platforms: PS4 system, PS3 system, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Limited time only. While beta codes last. Internet connection is required. Amazon will email you your beta access code within 1 business days of you placing your pre-order. Offer valid when shipped and sold by Amazon.com. This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders."
This confirms the leak from Bungie's website over the weekend where a snippet of code was found in one of the pages that reads, "Pre-order Destiny at select retailers and receive admission to the Destiny Beta. Play it first. Become Legend."
The Amazon listing currently has a placeholder date of June 30, 2014 for Destiny which for seems to indicate that the game will be released in the first half of the new year.
Bungie is likely to release full details on the beta today along with the new "Moon" trailer it teased yesterday as part of the boxart reveal.
