San Francisco is often referred to as the step-sister to Los Angeles, but, those that pass the City by the Bay up to head to the City of Angels are truly passing up a wonderful vacation destination. San Francisco offers world class accommodations and restaurants; it's roughly one hour to wine country located in Sonoma and Napa; it has a wonderful public transportation system; and, yes, there is plenty to see and do.

Getting There

San Francisco is easily reached from the greater Salt Lake City area via air travel, and, non-stop flights will get you there in slightly under two hours. And, getting to downtown San Francisco is a snap via rental car, taxi or BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit which is the Bay Area subway system.)
