For those of you who love your pets, it’s an absolute must to attend the Orange County Pet Expo, happening right now through Sunday. This event is HUGE and has been touted as the biggest event of it’s kind in the world, and no matter what type of pet you have, from llamas to dogs to reptiles, there’s something for everyone.
In fact, it’s so big that it is also known as America’s Family Pet Expo. Either name works. Unfortunately your pet needs to remain at home. It IS indeed a pet-friendly event in regards to humans who are passionate about their pets.
Competitions, plenty of product, demonstrations (police dogs, agility and more), stage shows, intelligent knowledgeable folks to talk to, seeing, learning, doing, even pet-adoptions are just some of the activities that are a part of the expo. Perhaps the best source of learning as far as canines goes is the Parade of Dog Breeds, which is scheduled to feature over 100 breeds.
And still being held at the OC Fairgrounds despite the rumors that it was moving to the OC Great Park. Of course, that could be true for next year. Very easy to reach from the 55 in Orange County. There are a few exits from the freeway that lead to the fairgrounds, which are marked.
The expo runs on Friday until 6PM, Saturday 10:00AM – 7:00PM and Sunday 10:00AM through 6:00PM.
Affordable too; just slightly more than the cost to see a movie. General admission: $12 for adults, $10 for Seniors 60 and over, $6 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Parking: General $5, Preferred $8.
