"'Despondent' is an arthouse action thriller created solely by the two-man creative team of Joe Falcione and Israel David Groveman. Filmed primarily in the Washington DC area, 'Despondent' is an intimate portrayal of one man's journey with breathtaking moments of action and suspense." - "Despondent" synopsis on Facebook

According to Falcione, "Despondent" has been on Facebook with its updates made available, but it came to their attention that maybe not everyone was aware of the film being on Facebook.

Joe, what are some of the details of this fab event?

"I realize that some of those who contributed may not be accessing Facebook. That said, here are the details for the premiere."

  • Who: Film Producers Falcione and Groveman
  • What: Presenting and viewing of film "Despondent" with Q&A
  • Where: Uptown Theater in Washington, DC (directions)
  • When: Wed., March 5, 2014 at 7 p.m. (viewing at 8 p.m.)
  • Why: To premiere the film "Despondent" and celebrate afterwards

Where will the afterparty be?

"The afterparty will be at the Hula Girl Restaurant across the street after the show. The restaurant owner has graciously offered Happy Hour prices on food and drinks for the evening."

Could you give us some background on this film's production?

"I've spent the last several weeks discussing with Israel (who resides in L.A.), testing at the theater and tweaking the film for the large screen format. It's been challenging combining efforts remotely and even more challenging dealing with technical issues, as the film was originally shot and edited for web, broadcast and smaller screens. With that said, it looks really good in the larger format."

I know this will not be the last article on "Despondent," but do you have a final note to share?

"Above all, Israel and I want to thank everyone so much for their generous contributions in order to see our film premiered at the Uptown Theater in DC."

Thanks Joe Falcione and Israel David Groveman. Fans look forward to more on "Despondent" and hopefully future film projects as well. Now DC, tomorrow Hollywood!
