It's not very often an opposing player scores 44 points on you and your team still wins, but that was the case on Wednesday night at the Bradley Center.
Toronto's Chris Bosh had a career-high 44 points but the Bucks got the better of the Raptors, 113-107.
Bosh added 12 rebounds and made 14 of 15 free throws. He added 4 assists and a steal in a masterful performance for the free-agent-to-be.
Bosh's big night will perhaps overshadow Andrew Bogut's big double-double. The Australian scored 27 points to go along with 12 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Bogut fouled out late in the game, but Milwaukee found a way to win without their center.
Bogut made 11 of 14 shots and has now double-doubled in six consecutive games and nine of the last 11. He has grabbed less than 11 rebounds in a game just once in January.
Toronto led by 11 at halftime, but Milwaukee came storming back in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Raptors, 32-22, to take a three point lead into the 4th, 81-78.
Jerry Stackhouse played his first game as a Milwaukee Buck and had 3 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Not bad for a 35 year old who hasn't played at all this season.
Stackhouse's three put the Bucks up, 89-87, giving his new team a lead they would not squander.
Carlos Delfino kept up his terrific play, scoring 22 points and grabbing 8 rebounds against his former team. He hit 4 of Milwaukee's 10 threes on the night. Luke Ridnour played just under 12 minutes off the bench, but scored 11 points on 4-7 shooting. Brandon Jennings had 16 points on just 5-21 shooting, but he added 6 assists against just 1 turnover.
For the Raptors, the double-headed point guard tandem of Jarret Jack and Jose Calderon combined for 22 points and 10 assists. Hedo Turkoglu and Andrea Bargnani added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
With the win, the Bucks improve to 17-23. The Raptors drop to 21-22 with the loss.
The same two teams meet again on Friday in Toronto. Gametime is 6:00pm and can be heard on AM 620.
