As a spin-off of the animated feature, “Despicable Me,” the voices of Sandra Bullock, Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud bring characters in “Despicable Me Minions” to life. “Despicable Me Minions” will appear in theaters on Friday, December 19, 2014.
Directors Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda are helming the project. Universal Pictures is behind the film distribution and Illumination Entertainment is the production company.
In the film, Bullock plays the voice of the human who encounters the hilarious Minions. The Minions became a hot little character commodity in the 2010 release of “Despicable Me” and can be seen on July 2, 2013’s “Despicable Me 2.”
Bullock stars as Scarlet Overkill. The 3D-CG comedy allows us to discover that Minions have been around throughout history. They always try to locate the most despicable master to serve. Before they were introduced to their current boss, Gru, the Minions had met up with Scarlet who they found to be a stylish yet super badass villain who set out to be the leader of the world.
Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy are behind Illumination’s creation of the Minions. Brian Lynch serves as the screenplay writer for the movie and Chris Renaud is the executive producer.
Watch for “Despicable Me Minions” in theaters on Friday, December 19, 2014.
