'Desperate Housewives' star Teri Hatcher gets sick with swine flu (H1N1)

Desperate Housewives' star Teri Hatcher has reportedly been diagnosed with the swine flu (H1N1).

According TVguidemagazine.com, the star's illness froze production of the hit TV show when doctors let producers know Hatcher was stricken with the swine flu - Even delaying the show's Christmas special.

Reports said Hatcher was supposed to join the entire cast, including hot co-star Eva Longoria-Parker, in a holiday episode that was said to involve a plane crash.

Hatcher, arguably one of the "healthy ones", recently completed and competed in her first triathlon when she crossed the finish to the Nautica Malibu Triathlon.

The star did the triathlon as a fundraising gig earlier this fall alongside Saved by the Bell's Mario Lopez. 

For today's swine flu condition though, the actress is at a standstill and is amid a growing list of celebrity stars, and "commoners" the like, who have been treated with the condition.

This includes Backstreet Boys singer Brian Iittrell, Harry Potter's Rupert Grint, Marilyn Manson, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta and speculated Miley Cyrus.

Even reality TV star Melissa Rycroft came ill with the swine, but reassured the public it's not all downhill if a doc is brought to prompt attention.

"I want to stress to people how easy it is to battle this flu when you take the proper steps," Melissa said in a past interview. "Such as seeking the care of a doctor."
