Defensive tackle Desmond Bryant of the Oakland Raiders was arrested on Saturday night in Miami, Florida. The media had mistakenly reported that Dez Bryant, wide receiver of the Dallas Cowboys, was the player arrested.
Bleacher Report stated on Sunday’s article that Bryant of the Raiders was arrested in Miami for criminal mischief. No further details were reported on the arrest that occurred Saturday night.
It also reported how sports reporter Omar Kelly of The South Florida Sun-Sentinel had twitted that Dez Bryant was the one arrested instead of the defensive tackle from Oakland.
Desmond Bryant is 27 years old and has played in the NFL for five seasons so far. Bryant has served all of his seasons with the Raiders. He signed with Oakland as an undrafted free-agent out of Harvard.
His best performance so far was in 2012 when he got four sacks, a forced fumble, and 36 tackles. He is also known for stepping up for the Raiders after Richard Seymour went down with an injury.
It is believed that Seymour will leave during this season’s break via free agency. Bryant had earned the starting spot and will keep it if this arrest incident isn’t too severe.
