Desmond Bryant arrested: Raiders tackle arrested in Miami

According to Yahoo Sports on Feb. 24, an Oakland Raiders defensive tackle was arrested in Miami early that morning. The Desmond Bryant arrested was for criminal mischief.

While the Raiders player was headed to jail, a namesake in Dallas was blitzed on Twitter with questions about whether or not he was back in jail again. Dallas Cowboys' wide receiver Dez Bryant has been in trouble with the law on numerous occasions in his short NFL career, but assured fans that he was not in jail, and was actually working out that morning.

The Bryant who was arrested was an unrestricted free agent for the Oakland Raiders who was booked on charges of criminal mischief of over $200 and under $1,000.

The Desmond Bryant arrest might hurt his chances of re-signing with Oakland in the offseason, or with anyone for that matter. Oakland brought him in as an undrafted free agent and he made the team, playing in 31 of 32 games in his first two years in the NFL. He only played in eight games last season and this arrest will definitely weigh into what other teams are willing to pay the player.
