Design your own fashion at the Lutz Children's Museum

Have you ever dreamed of creating beautiful gowns and dresses? Interested in the funny clothing styles that people use to wear? Do you like to draw or create your own fashions? Well the Lutz Children's Museum has the program for you. This Thursday, January 28th, the museum will be having a fashion design program for grades kindergarten and up from 4 to 5 in the afternoon.

During the event, the museum staff will discuss fashion through the ages. They will show the different fashion trends of the past and discuss some of the things that have influenced previous fashion styles. But no show would be complete without some arts and crafts! The program also allows you to "explore our inner fashion designer" by making your own fashionable outfits for a paper doll.

Pre-Registration is required. Cost of the program is $10 for members and $13 for non-members and includes complimentary admission to the museum. Dress in play clothes in case of messes. Parents do not have to be present during the program. Contact the Lutz Children's Museum for more information.

The Lutz Children's Museum is located at: 247 South Main Street, Manchester, CT 06040 and can be reached at (860) 643-0949.
