Budding young designers would you want to do more than hit the mall this summer can take part in fashion design camp at the Design Exchange.
The Drawing Fashion program is part of the Design Exchange's Summer Design Camps, and will offer a fun and interactive look at fashion design, illustration and textiles for 8 to 10-year-olds.
Young designers will be taught the basics of fashion illustration and drawing the body and will be taught ways to transfer their design ideas into sketches. Local designers and artists will meet with the young designers, who will learn how to create lookbooks of their design ideas, design their own fabrics, and then use their original creations to construct their own handbag.
This five-day course is a creative way to introduce students to the various aspects of design in one of Toronto's prime fashion locations and design resources.
