Following last year’s sold-out event, Desert Stories returns to the Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Blak Box Theater for one night, this Saturday, January 23rd, 2010. The night begins at 7pm. The event is a fundraiser for the rebuilding of the Kaye Ballard Playhouse.
The event will feature many writers with roots in the High Desert. Including Josh Kun, Christopher Lawrence, Curt Mathies, Kim Stringfellow, Neysa Griffith, and other special guests. The show will be hosted by actress, dancer, and writer Cheryl Montelle. Performers will share both fictional tales, and real life events even more unbelievable, all of which will have a local flavor.
Cocktails will be served at 7pm, and the performance will begin at 7:30. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting the Hi-Desert Cultural Center website.
