Eagles star receiver Jackson was in for a shock earlier this week when he found his safe at his home had been robbed. The burglary happened sometime earlier in the week at Jackson's home in South Philadelphia, according to investigators. A silver 9mm handgun is missing along with the cash and jewelry.

ESPN has confirmed Philadelphia police say someone broke into a home which belongs to Eagles star receiver DeSean Jackson, and stole cash and jewelry worth a lot of money. No arrests have yet been made and a police spokeswoman has said the investigation is ongoing.

This season Jackson was the Eagles' leading receiver. He had a dynamic 82 catches for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns. Prior to the 2012 season Jackson signed a five-year, $51 million contract with the Eagles. With this kind of income Jackson should be able to survive the burglary. But, he's sure lucky he wasn't hurt with so much cash and jewelry along with a gun on the line.
