Lehigh Valley Business held a Real Estate and Development Symposium, for over 400 professionals, hosted at Desales University Center on Monday morning. The local forum revealed some new construction in the area; a $150 million development project at the Chrin Industrial Park in Palmer township to build a 1.1 million square foot warehouse and distribution center
The symposium was highlighted by an economic forecast, based around both the national and regional economies. There was also panel discussions on major construction and development projects ongoing in the Lehigh Valley and hot trends in real estate.
The economic forecast was given by an executive and adviser from the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. The panel on area developmental projects was led by the chairman of the Palmer Township Board of Supervisors and CEO of City Center Lehigh Valley, the company leading much of the downtown development for Allentown.
The hottest real estate trends was discussed with the CEO of the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation and the panel identified the trending ideas for each sector (commercial, residential, industrial, and office) and what local projects will be coming down the pipeline to fulfill them.
