The Des Moines Sushi Club, headed by President/Founder Wes von Schlotterback, is teaming up with Wasabi Chi (5418 Douglas Avenue, Des Moines) to hold a Social Sushi Showcase on March 31. The event will be held at Wasabi Chi at 7 p.m., and tickets for the event are $50 per person. There will only be a limited amount of tickets for the event, so contact Wasabi Chi soon, at (515) 528-8246, if you are interested in going.
At Social Sushi Showcase, Wasabi Chi's Chef Jay Wang will offer tastings of exotic sushi and appetizers that are not on the restaurant's menu, as well as some new twists on old favorites. Your ticket price will include appetizers, sushi tastings, a sake tasting, and specially created mixed drinks to complement the evening's fare. Guests are encouraged to mix and mingle before dinner to get to know each other.
