Looking for a fun place to take your green thumb this weekend? Check out the 2012 Natural Living Expo at the Community Choice Convention Center in Des Moines March 31 – April 1. The expo features over 100 exhibitors offering natural, green, and eco-friendly products and services for many areas, including the garden.
Aside from shopping and browsing, you can attend free classes and workshops to learn about beekeeping, pesticide contamination, seed saving, water conservation, landscaping, and vermicomposting.
Be sure to attend the Back to Basics demonstrations on canning and preparing seasonal foods. You will surely leave with ideas for using and storing your bountiful crop this season.
And don’t forget the kids. The Natural Living Expo is fun for the whole family, featuring activities for kids in the Natural Kid Zone, including face painting and dancing.
