PHILADELPHIA- During the Soul’s thrashing of the Storm, 62-34, FB Derrick Ross found his way into the Arena Football record books.

Ross, 30, became the only player in AFL History to record over 2,000 career-rushing yards. According to ArenaFan, Ross is over 400 yards ahead of any other player in league history.

Soul GM Tom Goodhines spoke to Soul Insider about Ross’ special night.

“He’s a unique player,” Goodhines told Soul Insider. “He brings a totally different dimension to Arena Football that we have never seen before.”

This is probably not the end to Derrick Ross’ shine. Ross only needs six touchdowns to pass Barry Wagner for the most rushing touchdowns in league history.

Currently this season, Ross has a total of 228 yards (leads league) and 16 touchdowns.

The Soul will look to continue their two-game winning streak as they travel to face the undefeated Cleveland Gladiators (7-0). The game will be available on ESPN 3 and Soul Insider Gazette.
