NBA trade rumors don't faze Deron Williams and he feels that Brook Lopez just cannot catch a break in the situation. According to a report from Thursday (Jan. 24), Williams had only positive things to say about the starting center of the Brooklyn Nets. He even stated that Lopez is having an All-Star year, which in itself should show that he isn't going to be traded any time soon.
It's good that Williams is happy to play with Lopez, especially since the pair should be together in Brooklyn for a while. That hasn't stopped the Dwight Howard trade rumors from seeping back into the conversation, especially with how terribly the LA Lakers have been playing. Still, Lopez is putting up some of the best numbers for a center in the league with averages of 18.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. Those are very nice numbers indeed.
There is a lot of conjecture that Brook Lopez will make the 2013 Eastern Conference All-Star team, but even if he doesn't, he has proven that he is one of the top centers in the league. If he can keep developing that shooting stroke, fans might soon be talking about his playoff success as well. Despite his success and the fact that his point guard (Deron Williams) is very happy with the roster, NBA trade rumors will continue to hound the Brooklyn Nets until the February deadline hits.
