If you’ve ever wanted to combine your love of all things “Dancing with the Stars” with a cruise, now is the time to book your dream vacation. According to a Dec. 30 post on Wetpaint, Derek Hough, the five-time champion of the ballroom dancing competition show will be joining fellow professional dancers Tristan MacManus, Sharna Burgess, Emma Slater, Kym Johnson on Holland America’s “Dancing With the Stars: At Sea” Champions Cruise.
Also participating in the cruise event, which sets sail on Jan. 12, are “DWTS” alum Sabrina Bryan, Joey Fatone, and Carson Kressley. The group will perform for guests during the cruise and be available for Q&A sessions as well as photo opportunities on board the ms Nieuw Amsterdam.
The fleet is currently conducting "Dancing with the Stars: At Sea" on their ships and 15 winning guests will be featured on the cruise with Derek and company. Those 15 guests and their professional partners will perform on the cruise and compete for a mirror ball trophy of their own.
The celeb cast mentioned above are all setting sail on Jan. 5 for an earlier cruise – everyone but Derek that is. The first cruise will visit Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. The Jan. 12 cruise with Derek will visit the western Caribbean with calls at Half Moon Cay; George Town, Grand Cayman, and Key West, FL.
“Dancing with the Stars” will return with season 18 on ABC in March 2014. Until then, keep checking back for updates, news and spoilers.
