A missing Oakwood woman whose body was found over the weekend was murdered, according to the results of an autopsy released Tuesday. But who killed the woman and why was unknown.

And investigators on Wednesday declined to comment on how the woman was killed.

Ms. Holly Fox Strickland was last seen at the Hall County home she shares with family members on Feb. 3, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The 32-year-old left behind her vehicle, purse and other miscellaneous items at her home on Rain Tree, the sheriff’s spokesman Mr. John Marshall said.

She was reported missing the next day and on Saturday, someone found her body along a wood line near her home and called 911, Mr. Marshall said.

He declined to comment on the condition of the woman's body. And it was unclear if she was killed at the location where she was found.

Anyone with information about the murder is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (770) 531-6879 or report tips anonymously at (770) 503-3232.
