Update 7/16/14: Lady has been adopted!

A young American bulldog, with dark, expressive eyes, is waiting to be noticed behind the bars of her kennel run at the Miami Dade Animal Services facility in Miami, Fla.

The three-year-old dog, named "Lady," has been at the animal control facility since June 23.

Little is known about this beautiful dog - on the Facebook page Miami Shelter Big, Bullies, Black and Been Around, the following tidbit of information is provided:

Lady's soulful eyes have garnered some attention on Facebook, where her photo has been shared over 400 times. Unfortunately, despite the shares, she is still sitting behind bars like a common criminal, waiting and hoping that the next footsteps which draw near to her run will belong to someone who will take her away from her current nightmare.

Sharing Lady's photo and information will help increase her visibility, which in turn, may lead to the adoption which will save her life. Please take a moment to share the following information to help save this beautiful young dog's life.
