Denzel Washington is once again a Man on Fire, as the Oscar winner becomes The Equalizer, a big-screen adaptation of the popular spy/detective drama that aired on CBS from 1985 to 1989 with the late Edward Woodward.

Like the series and its Western predecessor Have Gun Will Travel (1957-63, CBS), Denzel Washington is McCall, the man with the mysterious past as a covert operative who decides to become a knight in shining armor in the 21st century when he sets out to take on the Russian mob in order to save the life of a young prostitute (Chloe Grace Moretz).

The film not only reunites Denzel with his Training Day director Antoine Fuqua, but the film is also another collaboration between Denzel and his Flight co-star Melissa Leo; the Oscar-winning actress made a guest appearance on The Equalizer back in 1985.

The Equalizer is set for action on September 26, so check out the trailer online at either Facebook or YouTube.
