Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds attend red carpet premiere for Safe House

Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds brought star power to the red carpet premiere for their new movie on Tuesday night in New York just days before Safe House is set to hit theaters. Washington and Reynolds were joined by co-stars and other celebrities at the SVA Theater for a screening of the film which debuts in Birmingham and across the country on Friday February 10.

Washington plays Tobin Frost, a former intelligence operative on the run who ends up in an unlikely partnership with Reynolds’ character Matt Weston, a young upstart CIA agent whose safe house has been attacked by mercenaries. In this clip from Yahoo Movies, Washington discusses how their characters meet as well as his interesting approach to playing Frost.
