Another great week of Denver yoga!

Tuesday, March 4: The Prana store in Cherry Creek offers a free Power Vinyasa Flow class on Tuesday evenings. Weekly Beginners and Restorative yoga classes are also offered.

Wednesday, March 5: Experience Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of love and devotion, through puja and chanting in this evening’s workshop at Samadhi Center for Yoga & Meditation. Teachers Beth Gurupriya Sanchez and Sara Mesmer will also teach you about the major Hindu deities in this workshop.

Dive into a meditation practice with Nancy Nielsen’s 4-week Dynamic Meditation workshop at Kosha Yoga Center in Littleton. Discuss and experience guided meditation in the styles of different meditation experts and authors.

Thursday, March 6: Jason Coviello offers a 3-week Sound Healing Yoga Journey at Harmony Yoga. He’ll lead a slow flow yoga practice and then play the Tibetan Singing Bowls and Hang drum during savasana.

Santa Fe-based yoga teacher, massage therapist and longtime student of Buddhist practice Tias Little begins his weekend of Denver Workshops with The Sacrum Skull Polarity, an evening Master Class at Samadhi Center for Yoga & Meditation. Tias continues his Denver Workshops with Master Classes on Friday focusing on twists, the rotator cuff and yoga for the face. His Saturday and Sunday workshop, The Architecture of Asana, includes sessions on The Foundation, The Walls, The Center Column and The Roof. The Friday through Sunday classes are held at Highlands Masonic Temple in Northwest Denver.

Kindness Yoga Hilltop presents a weekend Therapeutics Yoga Training with Buffy Barfoot. This weekend training is not just for yoga teachers, but for anyone interested in clearing old patterns and injuries in the body by using alignment.

Longtime yoga and meditation practitioner Barry Gillespie offers meditation and a dharma talk tonight at Asana Studio. Join him for The Ten Paramis—A Map to Enlightenment beginning tonight and continuing every other Thursday.

Friday, March 7: Friday Night Yoga Club is hosted tonight by new dance and yoga studio, The Freyja Project. Join what’s sure to be a sell-out event as Reace Daniel and Bine Trujillo lead the yoga and DJ Orpheus provides the live soundtrack. For those of you to the north, a new season of Friday Night Yoga Club begins in Boulder tonight with Rob Loud and Mr. Gettdowne.

Tamme Standen guides you through two Neurosculpting® meditations that address the difficulty of change in an introductory class tonight at Karma Yoga Center.

Saturday, March 8: Are you new to yoga? Learn the basics of the practice this and next Sunday afternoons at ONE Yoga in the Denver Tech Center.

Want more fun in your yoga practice? Try Jordan New’s Urban Flow workshop this afternoon at Breathe Yoga Cycle on Broadway. You’ll start with yoga and then learn basic breakdance moves including up-rock, go-downs, freezes, footwork, and power moves. Pants are recommended for this all-levels practice.

The Iyengar Yoga Center of Denver presents an afternoon of Partner Yoga with Kila Lau. Or spend the afternoon deeply relaxing at the restorative yoga workshop at Littleton Yoga Center.

Kosha Yoga Center in Littleton hosts a second Saturday Movie Night, showing The Legend of Bagger Vance. This must-see film is loosely based on the Bhagavad Gita. Or relax at tonight’s Tibetan Singing Bowl Concert with Carmeen Klausner at Asana Studio in Olde Town Arvada.

Sunday, March 9: Learn about yoga’s sister science of Vedic Astrology/Jyotisha this morning at Prana Yoga and Ayurveda Mandala. Kerry Shamblin shares how Vedic Astrology is a transformational tool, and she’ll provide you with a printed copy of your birth chart when you sign up.

Check out today’s workshops at the Iyengar Yoga Center of Denver. Leslie Bradley and Craig Kurtz lead Therapeutic Yoga: Modifications for Knee and Hip Issues this morning. Anatomy in Clay teacher Laura Allard-Antelmi presents Anatomy and Asana for the Knees and Hips this afternoon. At least one year Iyengar Yoga practice is recommended to attend these workshops.
