Spring is here! Enjoy the arrival of the new season with a meditation, breathwork or sound healing workshop or any of the other great yoga workshops and events on this week’s yoga calendar.

Monday, March 17: Experience the healing power of the breath tonight at Kindness Yoga Hilltop with Master Breathwork Facilitator Christian de La Huerta. Dress comfortably for this Soulful Breathwork session, and don’t forget your yoga mat, a blanket and a pillow. Sign up for a single session in advance or at the door, or register for both this and Thursday night’s sessions for a small discount.

Wanting a more physical practice? Want to learn to fly? Try the regularly scheduled AcroYoga class tonight at Awaken Gymnastics Inspired Fitness. No experience or partner needed to participate.

Wednesday, March 19: Tickets are on sale for Wanderlust in Aspen-Snowmass, scheduled this year for July 3-6. The lineup includes national favorites such as Seane Corn and MC Yogi along with local favorites like Justin Kaliszewski and Christen Bakken.

Thursday, March 20: If you missed him on Monday night or want a second session, Christian De La Huerta provides another Soulful Breathwork session tonight at Kindness Yoga, this time at the Cherry Creek studio. Let go of old, limiting beliefs with this conscious breath practice.

Longtime meditation practitioner and teacher Barry Gillespie continues his series, The Ten Paramis—a Map to Enlightenment, at Asana Studio. You’ll meditate, listen to a dharma talk and participate in discussion at tonight’s gathering, with the focus on renunciation and wisdom.

The Yoga Mat presents their monthly Yoga + Wine event at Infinite Monkey Winery tonight. Join them for an hour of yoga, then move to the Wine Lab for the glass of wine that’s included with your ticket. Don’t forget to bring your yoga mat.

Ready to get out of town? The Westin Riverfront in Avon begins a Global Well-Being Movement celebration. Enjoy free classes and lectures during this weeklong event. There’s a Heart Opening Yoga class and Laughter Yoga this evening, and Restorative Yoga on Saturday.

Friday, March 21: Chant with Tom Fuhrmann and Friends at the monthly Maha Kirtan this evening at Mile Hi Church. Join the Equinox Story Circle, to benefit charity, at Vital Yoga in the Highlands. Or join the crowd at Friday Night Yoga Club, with tonight’s event, the next to the last for the season, at Warrior Academy. Warrior Academy owner Scott Anderson leads what’s sure to be a challenging yoga practice, accompanied by live music from DJ Mada.

Saturday, March 22: So many workshop choices this afternoon! Focus on shoulder alignment in your asana practice with Gary Reitze at Iyengar Yoga Center of Denver. Bring your partner to Asana Studio for Lovers’ Yoga, an afternoon of yoga, massage and couples meditation, with national teachers Darrin and Daisy Zeer. Celebrate the arrival of spring with Tana Pittman’s Kundalini Yoga kriya for rejuvenation and gong bath at Yama Yoga Village. Or start your meditation practice with Heather Kokx at Littleton Yoga Center.

Learn about the Hindu goddesses and how they relate to the stages of a woman’s life at Caitlin McWilliams’ workshop this afternoon at The Mama’hood. After the lecture, stay for a 1-1/2 hour vinyasa flow class, unless you’re more than 7 months pregnant or less than 6 months post-partum. The Mama’hood offers regularly scheduled prenatal, Baby & Me and Toddle & Me classes as well.

Check out Joy Wegs Kick Cancer’s Asana at The River this evening, with proceeds going to Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) research. Or “flow and glow” with Jackie Salzillo’s Yoga in the Dark this evening at Asana Studio in Golden. Wear white or neon clothing to this blacklight only practice. Glow sticks are provided.

There are two great opportunities for sound healing tonight: Chris Anne and Jason Coviello play the Tibetan singing bowls and Hang drum at Harmony Yoga. Gary Fishman plays the Tibetan singing bowls, didgeridoos and gongs at The new Freyja Project. Both of these events will sell out, so be sure to sign up early.

Sunday, March 23: Whether you’re an seasoned meditator or are new to the practice, the labyrinth can add a new dimension. Join Maureen Supple this afternoon at Kosha Yoga Center in Littleton, and next Sunday at a local labyrinth to experience this meditation in movement. Or, if you’re an advanced student or yoga instructor, backbend with YogaWorks certified teacher Lauren Duker at Asana Studio.
