Monday, February 24: Have you tried Kundalini Yoga? Check out the Monday evening Kundalini Yoga class at the Denver Botanic Gardens’ Morrison Center with Chris Anne Coviello. Chant and move through a Kriya, a series of postures and breaths designed for a particular outcome. Each class is only $8 for members and $10 for non-members.
Tuesday, February 25: This is the last week for the Illustrating Union Yoga Tour at Wings Over the Rockies. Be sure to arrive early for this free class to get your mat space. There’s a month break before the next tour stop at Denver Museum of Nature & Science, so you don’t want to miss tonight’s class.
Wednesday, February 26: Start your day with Yoga Cross at The River. Bring your athletic shoes for this dynamic combination of functional fitness training followed by Power Yoga. Yoga Cross is also offered on Monday mornings as well as Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Thursday, February 27: It’s not too early to get your tickets! Early registration passes are now on sale for Boulder’s Hanuman Festival. The lineup of teachers and musicians for this June 12-15 event is available online.
Friday, February 28: Having nearly died as a teenager from anorexia and a subsequent stroke, California-based yoga instructor and author Chelsea Roff is a national advocate for “yoga in the treatment of eating disorders.“ Join her for a weekend Yoga for Eating Disorders training at Samadhi Center for Yoga & Meditation. This training is open to yoga teachers, therapists and those personally struggling with food and body image issues.
At a cozy venue like Mudra Yoga Studio, Friday Night Yoga Club is sure to sell out. Mudra Yoga co-owners Heather Lindemann and Tracey Lanham lead the yoga. Jay on the Drums and DJ Sundragon provide the live soundtrack.
The Iyengar Yoga Center of Denver presents Sacred Sounds Gong Bath Healing with Richard Rudis. The evening begins with a Deeksha Oneness Blessing with Kila Lau, followed by the 90 minutes gong bath, centered around the 6th chakra. Bring a blanket and a mat.
Saturday, March 1: Join Hukum Singh Khalsa this morning for his workshop Polarity: Looking Into the Mirror. Using Kundalini kriyas and Japanese origami, this workshop will help release you from your “mental tapes” and stories to move you into an authentic place of joy. The workshop takes place at Kundalini Yoga Denver, located in the Highlands neighborhood.
