Denver yoga calendar, week of August 25, 2014

With yoga studios and practitioners gearing up for fall, it’s a quiet week of Denver yoga. Say goodbye to summer with the yoga, meditation and chanting events listed on this week’s calendar.

Tigress is a “full spectrum” class for yoga practitioners who can kick up, unassisted, to handstand at the wall and can push up to a straight-armed wheel pose. Both Tigress classes are now donation-based, with the class community choosing a different charity each month.

Thursday, August 28: Beginning this morning, Lisa Eller Davis guides a Chair Yoga Series at Harmony Yoga for five Thursdays. This chair-based practice includes the option of some gentle standing and lying down poses. A senior discount is included.

The Stand-Up Paddleboards are anchored to create a “controlled floating yoga studio” that challenges balance, builds strength and enhances relaxation. All levels of yoga and paddleboard experience welcome.
