Monday, August 18: The Sounds True Wake Up Festival in Estes Park begins Wednesday, with the Pre-Festival Intensives beginning tonight. Join Snatam Kaur for yoga sets, breathwork and her beautiful chanting in her Kundalini Yoga and Chanting: A Healing Immersion. The immersion includes attendance at her Wednesday evening concert and participation in the Festival’s opening ceremony.
Tuesday, August 19: Buffy Barfoot and Patrick Montgomery invite you to Making the Myths Your Story at Kindness Yoga Hilltop. Join them for six weeks of asana focusing on the stories of Ganesha, Shiva, Hanuman, Kali, Saraswati and Lakshmi.
Wednesday, August 20: Check out the Evening Vinyasa Yoga class at the Denver Botanic Gardens with Blake Burger this and every Wednesday. Don’t forget to bring your mat, water and a towel for this all-levels practice.
The Wake Up Festival begins this evening in Estes Park and continues through the weekend. The festival’s schedule including morning yoga practices with Snatum Kaur and breakout sessions with Seane Corn. Go for the entire festival or buy a one-day pass.
Thursday, August 21: Longtime meditation practitioner and teacher Barry Gillespie presents the Three Pillars of Dhamma tonight at Asana Studio. Learn how generosity, virtue and meditation create a “life of practice.”
Nancy Nielsen brings Neurosculpting for Beginners to Kosha Yoga Center tonight. Learn how to let go of old patterns and transform your life through neuroplasticity.
The Yoga Mat presents another Yoga + Wine Event this evening at the RiNo District’s Infinite Monkey Winery. Join The Yoga Mat teachers for an hour long yoga class followed by the glass of wine that’s included in the ticket price. While cash is accepted at the door, reserve your spot online before the event to save a little money.
Friday, August 22: Tom Fuhrmann and Friends kick off a new Denver Community Kirtan at Highland Event Center tonight. Bring your own cushions for floor seating and enjoy the call and response chanting.
Samadhi Center for Yoga & Meditation offers two Friday events. Spend the weekend learning the Tantric teachings of love and sexuality at Dawn Cartwright’s Tantra: The Secrets of Love Immersion. Or salute the sun 108 times this evening in support of Yoga for Veterans, one of the Boulder-based Give Back Yoga Foundation projects. For a minimum donation of $30, you can help bring yoga and meditation to veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress and other mental health issues.
Dive into your psyche and your yoga practice at Livia Cohen-Shapiro’s workshop, Applied Psychology for Yogis at Kindness Yoga Hilltop. Livia begins tonight with Personal Process Tools, explores the emotional body and the shadow tomorrow for Dirty Little Secrets, and ends on Sunday with The Psychologically Sound Classroom for yoga teachers. Join her for all or part of this weekend workshop.

Move back indoors at Kosha Yoga this afternoon for a workshop with Nancy Nielsen, Sacroiliac Joint Relief- Simple Movements to Alleviate Pain.
Enjoy an evening of Ancient Mantra and Melody at Asana Studio with Santosh, a rare Western initiate of Sri Baba Hari Dass. Practice sacred asana with Santosh to the live classical Indian music of Andre DiLallo. Or join the Kali Puja with Aditi Devi Ma tonight at Mudra Yoga Studio, and chant and dance to the Goddess.
Sunday, August 24: Yoga Rocks the Park is back for the remainder of the summer. This week’s class is led by Jackie Casal, Kylie Larson and Channing Grivas, with live music from Japadapta.
Check out the free Vinyasa classes today with Allison Trainer and Im’Unique United Founder Tyrone Beverly today at the Colorado United Yoga Expo. There’s also an inspirational talk and demo of yoga for persons with disabilities from Colorado Adaptive Yoga founder Tommy Hinojos. The Expo is at the Auraria Campus PE Event Center, with free parking in the Tivoli garage.
Tune into your inner voice under the guidance of Sahaja Devi (Tracey Lanham) this afternoon at Mudra Yoga Studio. Her Slow Flow for Intuition workshop includes journaling, breathwork, visualization and guided relaxation along with a slow flow practice for deep inner listening.
