Denver thong bandit: Man in thong sought by police

A Denver thong bandit is on the loose. On March 7, the Denver Post reported that a man in a thong has been "running around exposing himself" causing a disturbance in the Sloan's Lake area. This all started last summer but the man took a few months off and it seems as though he's back to his hobby -- which just happens to be a crime.

"We're looking for an individual who we have titled the 'Thong Bandit.' He is fully clothed somewhere in the mouth of an alley, will disrobe down to a thong and expose himself further in front of female citizens in northwest Denver (sic)," said District 1 Commander Paul Pazen.

The Denver thong bandit has not been identified. Over the past couple of weeks, there have been four separate reports of a man exposing himself, but there haven't been any calls since Feb. 18 according to the report. It seems as though this man has some infatuation with doing this and once he does it a few times, he disappears for a while.

According to the police department, a team has been assembled to track this guy down. "It's a crime to expose yourself to folks. We need to make sure that he doesn't take that next step," Pazen said.

Hopefully the Denver thong bandit is caught before things get worse.
