Denver stabbings: Three men stabbed post Denver game, one fan seriously injured

Denver stabbings left three men injured this Thursday night following a Denver Broncos loss to the San Diego Chargers in a heated game. One of the victims, a fan who had attended the showdown, was said to be seriously hurt and remains in critical condition. Police have confirmed the dangerous fight took place in a parking lot close to Sports Authority Field, the home stadium of the Denver Broncos, the Inquisitr shares this Friday, Dec. 13.

Confirmation of the Denver stabbings were made by police officials who offered live tweets via Twitter on the violent incident. The reason for the altercation has not been made known at this time. However, a law enforcement spokesperson has been able to share that three men were stabbed, with a fourth person somehow being involved in the violence but leaving the scene of the crime before police arrived. One of the victims remains in a local hospital for serious stab wounds to the arms and chest.

The latest updates on the Denver stabbings reports that a few suspects are currently in police custody. No other suspects are being searched for at this time, though some of the victims are also being viewed as suspects. Officials estimate that the Denver Broncos incident occurred roughly between 9 p.m. and 10 .m. following the game, with an emergency call made just before 10 p.m.

“The spokesperson added that both victims and other eyewitnesses described the parking lot and surrounding areas as ‘very chaotic.’ As of Thursday night, police were still unclear about what caused the fight.”

Speakers for the Denver Broncos have not yet commented on the non-fatal stabbing. Although the parking lot was not said to be full at the time of the Denver stabbings, there were at least a few witnesses who were close enough to the violent incident to come in for questioning and help police in their formal investigation of the fight.

Another violent attack also occurred earlier this month after a major sporting event, with a homicide at Arrowhead Stadium after a big game alerting people to the dangers that the aftermath of heated fan interaction can cause. Safety seems to be an issue at these games that should be examined, concludes the statement.
