When Denver got a new Mayor, did you know we also got a very talented singer that came along with Mayor Michael Hancock? That's right, the First Lady of Denver Mary Louise Lee is a singer/actress that if phenomenal. And if you have never heard her before, it site to take notice. She has a voice that can carry throughout Colorado. She does not want to take anything away from Mayor Hancock, but will answer to Mrs. Hancock when she is in the presence of her church. She is the choir director for New Hope Baptist Church and her husband is a deacon there.
Mary Louise Lee has been performing since the age of three. In middle school she was never afraid to take on a new role when it came to any school performance. While attending Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, she landed a professional acting role at the Denver Performance Center.
The first time hearing her was at The Soiled Dove Underground in the Lowry area. She performed to a sold out audience and was a joy to kick back and listen too. But her life does not just revolve around singing and acting, she is also very much involved in the lives of young kids and wants to help them turn their lives around when on the wrong side of the law or hopefully before it reaches that extreme.
Mary Louise Lee is a complete package all rolled into one. She is a great mother, wife and supporter of Denver's Arts and Entertainment.
