Denver's Crash 45 offers events for horror buffs

Crash 45 is a fun little hole in the wall on 45th and Logan that offers horror buffs a place to chill out and indulge their pastime. In addition to events such as the Cruel Winter Horror Series, in which classic horror movies are shown on the first Tuesday of each month (until May), the bar also hosts Walking Dead Sundays. Patrons and fans of the show can come down, have a beer and watch the latest excursions of Rick and the crew on Crash 45’s big screen.

Featuring décor from metal artist Shane Evans, Crash 45 sort of resembles the type of place you might find in a horror movie, though it is much cooler and not quite as bloody. Along with many horror themed events, including a Halloween party, the bar hosts a Monday Night Football party and art shows on Friday. Like other “hidden” bars in the city, Crash 45 hosts a laid back group of people who like art, campy movies and excellent food.

If you are a horror buff or simply like good food and a relaxed atmosphere, give Crash 45 a shot. Upcoming events include the Cruel Winter finale, Calvaire (April 2), and Walking Dead Sundays are held every week until the end of the season. They start at 7 pm, but seating tends to fill up quickly, so be sure to get there early.
